The word metamorphosis comes from the Greek roots meta (“beyond” or “change”) and morphฤ (“form”),
meaning a change in form.
Its primary meaning is the biological process of transformation, but in a more figurative way it also refers to any marked or profound change in someoneโs appearance and/or character.
In nature butterflies represent the most known example of metamorphosis: they have to go through four different stages before becoming the beautiful insect we all admire.
They symbolize faith, transformation, and acceptance of new beginnings.
The awesome model I portrayed has every step of her metamorphosis forever marked on her skin. Every transformation has been represented by a different tattoo, each with his own intimate meaning. She has learned to embrace the chaos of her metamorphosis, being proud of every change and every new beginning.
Change is inevitable, everything is in a constant state of transformation.
